Time in the Art Studio is like a sanctuary ushering in the creative side of the artist fostering its growth.  Young artists are captivated, focused, and engaged as they express themselves.  This pursuit increases brain capacity, builds confidence, and stimulates intellectual curiosity.

1-1 Instruction

Private lessons allow the student to have an hour of one-to-one time with Mrs. Benke to teach Art concepts and direct the student’s experimentation and discovery.

WORKSHOPS

Curated Experiences

Workshops are a new venture to allow for interesting explorations on Saturdays, seasonally, throughout the year. These will be half-day or day-long creative adventures that children will enjoy!

MEET MRS. BENKE

MEET MRS. BENKE

Maureen Benke has been teaching children art for over 39 years. As a little girl, she loved playing “teacher” with her dolls. This early creativity not only inspired her to become an educator, but gave her a deep respect for the childhood imagination. Getting to experience a child discovering their own creative potential is the reason she teaches art. Her primary goal is to inspire children to recognize the creativity they uniquely possess.
